Lakeway Homes, Inc. is managed and owned by Brad Book and Tim Pfohl. Not only do we work directly with YOU, the customer, but we partner with exceptional interior designers and home designers that help guide us and our clients throughout the building process to ensure the highest quality home. We feel it is important to be directly involved with you in the home building process from beginning to end; therefore, we do not employ a “middleman” as a liaison between you and us. As a result of eliminating the “middleman”, unnecessary costs are avoided and the savings will be passed on to you.


In addition, we are graduate master builders and engineers. For a majority of individuals, building a home is your most significant financial investment. With our credentials, you can be sure that you will receive a home that is high quality. Our typical procedures for the home building process are as follows:

  1. The first step we take is to meet with you to view the lot you are interested in building on. During the meeting we try and get a feel for what type of home design would best meet your desires and what enhancements or limitations your lot may have for you.


  2. After we gain a complete understanding of what your desires are, we will enter into a design agreement and/or a lot contract if you do not already own the lot.


  3. Next, a designer will prepare a rendering of your home and after your approval, an elevation is drawn. From this point, we meet with you and an interior designer to discuss the concept plan and any design suggestions we may have.


  4. Once we become comfortable with how you want your home designed, a preliminary set of construction plans is prepared and we meet with you to establish a list of amenities and specifications to meet your budget.


  5. Now, we determine the actual sales price of the home and enter into a construction contract with you.


  6. Once all contracts have been signed, we will assist you in obtaining interim and permanent financing for the home, if necessary.


  7. Next, we review the walk through schedules for the different stages of construction and prepare a time schedule, so you know an approximate completion date.


  8. Finally, once all financing covenants have been fulfilled, we will begin constructing your dream home.
